Sterling silver jewellery can tarnish over time and care should be taken to avoid exposure to humidity, sweat, perfume, cosmetics, cleaning products or other chemicals.
Solid 9ct gold jewellery is durable and resistant to tarnishing so you can wear it almost all of the time.
To keep your gold and silver jewellery looking its best please follow the recommendations in our Care Guide.
Seaglass is thick and durable and very difficult to break. However, it may crack or shatter if dropped on a hard surface, so please take care when putting on and removing your necklace.
Our jewellery is mainly made from either recycled 925 sterling silver or recycled 9ct gold.
Some of the smaller findings used in our jewellery - such as the jump rings - do not currently use recycled metals. However this is something our supplier is working towards and we will make the switch as soon as these become available to us.
Seaglass is glass that has been tumbled in the sea for many tens, or even hundreds, of years resulting in a pitted, frosted texture.
Seaglass orginates from many different objects including drink bottles, medicine bottles, ink bottles and decorative glassware. Some colours are rarer than others.
All seaglass used in Aujune's jewellery has been found by me along the UK coastline and has been lightly tumbled to remove any heavy white frosting to reveal its true colour but ensuring the natural pitting from the sea erosion remains.
In some pieces the seaglass has been kept in it's natural shape, as found, and in others the seaglass has been shaped - this is noted in the product description.
