At aujune you’ll find packaging that’s good for your jewellery and good for the earth. We're packaging our products with a conscience, because a greener future starts with the little things.
Jewellery Boxes
My jewellery boxes are made of FSC-certified cardboard and paper. FSC-certified means that this paper and card comes from responsibly managed forests. The inserts are made of recycled PET from used PET packaging and drinks bottles.
I hope you love your aujune jewellery boxes enough to keep them - they’re a great place to store your jewellery when you’re not wearing them. However, if you wish to part with them, the box and insert can be recycled with your normal household recycling.
Postal Boxes
The postal boxes I use are small parcel size. They are made in the UK using 100% recycled card and are fully recyclable in your normal household recycling.
I seal my packages with self-adhesive paper tape. Not only is this tape a more sustainable option, being fully recyclable, it is also a more secure option. Paper tape can only be torn (not peeled off), making it practically impossible to disguise the fact that something has been opened, giving both me and you an added layer of security.
Information Cards
Your jewellery will come with information cards with further information about aujune and your jewellery to help you get the most from your purchase.
These are printed on recycled, FSC-certified, chlorine-free paper. These can be recycled in your normal household recycling.
Other Packaging
Inside the postal box, you’ll find your jewellery box nestled inside beautiful tissue paper, sealed with a branded sticker.
The stickers I use are printed on recycled, FSC-certified paper which is chlorine-free and made from post-consumer waste. Although these stickers are made from recycled stock, they aren’t yet fully recyclable (due to the glue used to create that all-important ‘sticky’ element). This is something I'm working on improving.
The tissue paper is made from 100% recycled pulp fibres and water-based inks. 35% of the electricity used to make the paper is produced by renewable sources. You can choose to reuse it in crafting, or by wrapping another gift, or it can be recycled in your normal household recycling.
